No, I wouldn't count on it.
If you have a Sport 11', I would use the Sport 11' wood diagram and then I still would be careful.
Some changes happen through the years.
The Sport 11' drawing is dated 1975 and you say yours is a 1977. That should be good but always double check and follow the instructions on the lower right of the wood locating drawing where it says "If in doubt".
