Hi everyone. I'm doing a rehab of a 1984 Outrage I recently purchased in Savannah. I pulled out a crappy home made RPS/live bait combo unit, and have a nice refurbished original RPS to put in. It originally had the two captains seats (can tell by the bolt hole pattern in floor). Can someone tell me the proper distance from the console bottom edge to the leading edge of the RPS seat brackets on the floor? Any other advice will be welcomed as well. Thanks!

On my 1985 Outrage 18, the distance from rear console leg to front of rps leg is exactly 18".

I would at least consider moving it a little further back than from factory. Mine drove me crazy for years until I finally moved it back a few inches. Boat is 60 miles away or I would measure for you.
