im having a local guy fab a new belly tank. if i shortened a few inches off the new tank would an airmar work well? also can someone post a link to the cavity prep/primer and foam procedure. thanks in advance.

I would think you would need to create a well to mount the transducer in. The foam is still pretty thick below the tank.
This is below the tank on my old 1973 19 - I dug this area out to create sump to keep the tank dry.
