Garris -

You want the anti-cav plate 1- 1 1/2" above the keel when on the transom.

With a jack plate, the suggestion is adding 1" of rise for every 12" of setback.

This would mean your anti-cavitation plate would be 2 - 2 1/2" above the keel line.

You will need to water test this and adjust the settings (documenting as you go) to ascertain what is the most optimum.

NOTE: It has been stated that adding setback to an outboard on a Boston Whaler increases the hull's tendency to porpoise.
