I need to buy the replacement lights for the stern and bow. The wiring for both ends of the boat are still available where the light mount, but I do not know where the ends are, or where they are supposed to come out? I have the boat completely stripped to the bare hull and is off getting painted right now. I thought the wires may be in the hole where the console sits, but after taking everything apart and out of the boat, no wire ends anywhere. It's a mystery, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Since no one has yet answered your question, I'll give it a try.
First of all your boat would be a 1973 model year, which could have been manufactured anytime from 8/1/72-7/31/73. That would make it tan in color and with black rubrail insert.
On all of these boats, 1973 and later, the navigation light wiring was run under, and inside of, the black rubrail insert. Entry and exit point to the rubrail is through a hole on the the upper side of the stern sidewall. From there, the wiring runs up to the bow light fitting inside the rubrail. At the stern, the wiring coming out of the rubrail terminates to a terminal block, which organizes the wiring for the bow light, stern light, negative ground to the battery, and switched power from the console, which runs in the boat's floor tunnel. Only three of the four terminals are used. The black pigtail is for connection to the stern light pole. The white ancor 3-wire cable furnishes the neg ground back to the battery, and the switched power to the bow light and the stern light.

Thanks for the feedback!
I assumed
1972 since that's what the title says. But anyways.... being the big time rookie with Whalers that I am, I covered all of the holes from the rub rail screws with Marine Tex two part epoxy. So now I have no way of wiring it the original way. That box that looks to be located on the back left side of the boat is not on my hull. I'm still painting the bare hull and I guess I have a little while before figuring out what the best route is. If you have any ideas, just let me know
- BTW -- those pics on the photobucket link were awesome, that boat is magazine material.
