I've always loved classic whalers- they are what I think of when I hear Boat., but there is a 2000 18 Dauntless that looks good and for decent price, any comments about the quality, utility? We like to fish, tube ski, mostly lakes but Lake champlain can get choppy?

My friend has a 1998 18 Dauntless and it is bulletproof. His has a 2006 Evinrude 150 on it and it is more than enough motor for that boat, IMO. If the motor is sound and the price is right, I'd go for it.

i have a 1998 Dauntless 18 with a 2003 Evinrude 150 17P prop WOT is 48mph it has a jackplate so the motor is jacked up just right i cruze at 28 or 30 its solid its fairly dry in the heavy chop very stable for fishing

(please follow guideline #1 on the front page and use the full 4 digit year for everything)
