Greetings all,
I’m going to be installing a transom mount transducer on my 1986 18’ Outrage. Anyone who had done this already and can share a picture of the transducer mounted on the transom? I’m interested in trying to get the location right the first time.
Secondary-I’m considering using a Stern Saver if anyone has experience with that product.
Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.
Mike

My personal page has a decent photo. I don't have one straight at the stern. I would say that wire that goes over the transom is approximately 6" from the closest part of the motor bracket. I hope this helps.

I have a picture of where mine will be first tested when I complete the refit and start water testing. I don't know how this placement will workout yet, but I suspect it will have to be moved closer to the F-115. The transducer is an Airmar CHIRP that will communicate with the new Garmin 741xs on the helm.

For what it's worth, and I know it's not much, here it is:

Mine was pretty much the same as Silentpardner.

Just to the right of the starboard thru hull drain.
