any special trick to removing the rub rail on a 1985 15 foot Whaler so I can replace the wiring to the bow light?

This site is a wonderful resource to a new owner of an old boat! I have not found another Whaler owner in the Greers Ferry Lake area.

Thanks in advance

If you have the two or three piece, just remove the black insert. You don't need to remove the receiver track.

Tinned marine speaker wire is a recommended choice of wire.

Your reply to my previous post was why I asked about the removal of the rub rail. Since my boat is a 1985 15 foot custom, I was checking to see if there was a best way to remove the rub rail and not damage it - rather than dive into it, screw it up and then have to buy a new rub rail.

I thank you for your patience and assistance!
