So I just repowered w/a Yam F70 [not yet installed], and this boat is a converted 1987 SuperSport that never had the thru-deck opening for the fuel line routed thru the rig tunnel.

1. Haven't actually seen what the standard location for the thru deck opening is on a Montauk, but my presumption is that it would have been aft of the tank, close to the tank ??

2. If that's correct, what reason might have influenced placement behind rather than in front of tank [other than maybe it being in the way of the pilots big feet]?

Planning to install a leaning post/seat, so I need to factor out how far back from the console to set the thru deck opening, after accounting for seat base position and tank dimension under seat.
