I have recently decided to repower my 1973 Outrage. I am torn between a 150hp and a 200hp.I was wondering which company best and which would last the longest. Lastly the difference between a 6-cyinder and a four-cylinder and which would be better to put on my boat.

Thanks.

Are you referring to the boat in your profile or another boat?

Always helps to let everyone know what boat you are talking about.
Please follow the 3 guidelines on the front page.
1. Full 4 digit year
2. Model
3. Length

That way everyone knows which boat you are talking about.
People are always buying and selling and/or replacing their boats so please, let us know.

175 HP Suzuki. A lot of 21' banana boats are down here in Galveston and that seems to be the best power for them. I had a F150 Yamaha before and now I have a 175 Suzuki on mine. Cruise at 37 mph with 4 mpg and tops out at 52 with around 3 mpg. I don't have that many hours on the Suzukis on my 2 Whalers but I know of numerous 21 banana boats that have over 3k hours on their 175 Suzukis. They're fishing guides so they put 700+ hours on per year.
