Where is the best place to install a fishfinder transducer on a 190 Montauk? I have a Merc 115hp with a clockwise rotating prop.

Most electronics manufactures will have a recommendation on location, port or starboard but most of the time in the calmest area of the least turbulence.

Does anyone have a picture? I recently purchased an Elite 7Ti and don't want any issues. I will be mounting directly to transom of Montauk170 as I'm replacing another unit.

Add an email to your profile and I can forward some pictures of the mounting on my other boat. Basically on the downwards side of the motor's propeller rotation (starboard with conventional) with 1/3 below the bottom (+-)of the boat, slight angle to center of boat, as parallel with water as possible without submerging it too deep past the boats bottom.
