This is a little bit like watching paint dry, but pretty interesting nonetheless...

Great page! I'm waiting for the ice to clear near Georgian bay so I can go test drive a Whaler. This is just what I needed. :)

I just came in from walking along the shore...seeing about 30 fisherman and about 8 atv's out on the ice yet. Still has a way to go on Lake Erie. :(

Come on over to Lake Ontario. It doesn't freeze like Erie (too deep).

FYI, ice went out completely today at 1:30pm on Lake Ontario(Henderson Harbor), big wind switch and blew remainder out to open water. Now a good 2" chop.

Here in Iowa we are done with the ice. I got an email Wednesday from a friend on Lake Okoboji in the far north of the state and he said the ice it out. He also said the first boat on the water was a Whaler. Figures!B)

Bay of Quinte ice went out this week. The lake I'm watching to the north looks to be a month behind us. Sigh.....
