With a 1980's vintage 35hp Johnson or Evinrude about 28 mph at wot. One person 6 gallons of gas. The unpleasant thing about WOT is the noise, the engines are loud at that RPM. 22 mph is a pleasant speed. Feels faster as you are sitting 6 inches above the water.
