Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: repair flaky nonskid

Hello i am new. I just bought a 196X 13. I am planning my restore and have a question. There is flaking on the non skid. How should I resolve? I can sand the non-skid away then use an algrip paint non skid, but would rather stay original. Please advise.

Did you see this thread below? If you want to keep it factory, watch the video in post #4 and give a read to the article in post #8. Removing and recreating the non-skid from scratch may be your only option:

I would recommend sanding it all the nonskid off and back to the glass and then refinishing the floor with an Alwgrip roll on nonskid.
