Trying to get educated on top mount engine controls. Have yet to purchase the motor, however, it will be an Evinrude or a Yamaha.

Is the top mount control interchangable between engine manufacturers?

Is there a concensus of opinion as to desirability of a Morse vs. a Teleflex?

Would like to have Whaler OEM or a reasonable copy. Anybody have information on these?
