my general knowledge is for you to determine 1st whether your motor will 'over-rev' - meaning exceed the maximum RPMs with the current prop. if so, definitely re-prop.

i found on other boats that up close to max i don't see a lot of difference. u might want to run your boat and observe a GPS to determine the exact speed at each RPM level - 3500/4000/4500 etc ... maybe even smaller increments.

i generally try to find a "most economical" cruies rather than best wide open throttle speed. good luck.
