Anyone have any suggestions for some storage space for things like a few tools, extra prop etc? I love this boat but there's not much room for extra stuff. I don't even have a glove box for registration, insurance etc. And I don't just want an old ammo box bouncing around on the deck.

I have heard pretty good things about these - http://www.seasucker.com/index_marine.asp. Couldn’t you get an appropriate size container to fit under the console to hold the gear that you want and use bungees and these to hold it in place (or mount the cups directly to the box). You can easily remove them when not needed. Just a thought.

Thanks, I'll check it out. btw, this is my 1st fiberglass boat and I'm very nervous about drilling holes and putting screws in. Any suggestions?

Your concerns are why I suggested something along this product line. They are made for smooth surfaces (they even claim to hold to non-skid) and require not drilling, etc. If you were to attach the suction cup(s) directly to the storage box, you could move the box to other locations on the boat (same goes with using the cups and bungees) if desired. One application I saw was an owner that had a side console boat that had open storage underneath (much like the 150) and he stretched a bungee cord between two cups attached to the back of the console. The bungee held/pinned two small fenders and one of those deep/orange Plano marine toolboxes against the console so they wouldn’t move around while underway.

I can get a lot into a wooden binocular box, I have an ACR "Rapid Ditch Bag" (chart,flares,glow sticks,sm. tools,H/H radio, etc.) I have pockets on my pfd, and a 6-pack cooler that I can fit an I-talian sandwich in too if I pack it carefully. A "Sea Tow" card in my wallet.
