Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos

While at Disney World last year, I really liked the Whaler patrol boats. The boats seem to be around 17' or so. The boats have center consoles with T-tops and black rubber bumpers along the sides. I believe they had 135 Mercs on the back.

Does anybody have info on what size and model Whaler this is?

Also, what happens to the old models? Where would they be sold or auctioned off?

axally there new
there just made in the old model
there aroaund 18-21ft and the model is gaurdian
there specially built for rough handeling and that's why the have a thickend body

When I stayed at Fort Wilderness last December, it seemed most were 18' Guardians. I did see one I beleive was a 22' Guardian and one 17' Montauk. Looked like the Montauk was a rental boat.

Are the Guardian boats a commercial version of the standard designs? I read they have a heavier layup to put up with more abuse. I am going to keep my eyes on some govt auction sites. Being located in FL, there should plenty to choose from. I think that Disney would take better care of their boats than the law enforcement guys. Now I need to find out what Disney does with those older models when they are done with them.

Would you please post some pics and info about your crackerbox. That`s a boat I always wanted to build. Consider bringing it to an AOMCI (Antique Outboard Motor Club) meet in Central Florida. We have one member with a cracker box, and other who is restoring a Jersey Speed Skiff. Its not just about old outboards.
OK this post isn`t Whaler related, but you are a Whaler owner. LOL

Took grandson to WDW and saw some nice Whalers. In fact you can rent a Montauk and do your own cruise around in their waterways at Downtown Disney. Not too fast, as they have five horse motors....Several new models also on display there.
