First I'd like to thank everyone for all the useful input on this forum. I'm restoring my Grandfather's 1986 Montauk and my first step is to repower. I just received an offer for a 2000 90hp Evinrude Ficht for $3,150 rigged. The motor has 92 hours and in great shape, with over 75% of its time spent below 2,000 rpms.

I wanted to see what all the enthusiasts and experts thought about this offer. Thoughts?

Also, does anyone have any pictures of their Montauk rigged with a Ficht? I'd love to get a preview and see how she would look.
