Looking to build the interior seating this winter for a 15' whaler. I know there is a small wood cleat on the floor of the hull that the console attaches to. How does the rest attach to the sides of the boat? Would really appreciate it if someone has pictures of how this is done and can send over.
The rest of the console attaches to the side clamps. On mine, there a some 2x2 blocks that are screwed into the side boards. The console rests on these and is secured with screws through the top, front, and back. Check out specialty marine's product page for their interior they sell. They have A PDF instruction sheet that has some pics which might make it more clear. good luck!
Some of the pics on my personal page may help. Basically the sideboards sit on the lip molded into the hull and are attached with horizontal screws. The console attaches to the starboard sideboard with blocks and screws.
