Are you referring to the flange that sits on the deck and looks like this?

I'm in the process of restoring a 1988 Guardian 18' and bought them from Sue at Twin Cities Marine. I went original in black, but am sure they have the white ones as well. $14.00/ ea.

Randy- My 1989 18' Outrage is missing this piece. If you have the slip or recall the part number and/or contact info, I'd appreciate it.

Navigating their website wasn't pleasant, so maybe you can save me some grief?

Thanks in advance,

Pete

I believe the exploded parts manual shows these, you should look these up. Phil, yours has been cut in half and are missing the other half. They were originally oval and uncut. It is common for these to be slit to enable removal or replacement without de-rigging the console. My 1988 OUTRAGE 18 has 3 of them. One inverted which drops below the deck and flanges at the deck (caulked all around flange). The second is fastened and caulked on top of the first one and is facing up. The third is mounted dry on top of the console plywood shelf/floor. The two deck pieces keep water, sand, debris out of the rigging tunnel and keep the deck plywood coring dry. Mine are completely water tight at the flanges. The console piece keeps gear stored in the console from disappearing down the rigging tunnel. I would send pictures but can't right now, sorry.

Well, I just took a peek at the parts manual (resources tab above). The manual pictures the deck inverted collar but fails to show the up facing collar. A look at the "quantity" reveals .5 or one half, which confirms the original configuration as I have described. If you are not rigged this way you are probably rotting out the deck plywood. The console shelf collar is also as I have described. I have heard the collar is still available but only in white or black, not tan as was original. Go with the white, you will never see it anyway.

Pete & All,
Looking back, I could have been more detailed...

Beacon Marine - Twin Cities Marine
Phone- 920-793-2715
Ask for Sue.

The part number for mine was 1043140 "Collar/Tunnel-Black". The part number is probably different for white or off-white if that is what you want. She will know what you are talking about. I ordered and paid over the phone.

Another vendor you may be interested in is the source for the original Deckplates. Beckson manufactured them for Boston Whaler and they are available in white, off-white (classic-color), black, and the clear top style for viewing your mechanical fuel gauge (if applicable). The website is good and lists all the Boston Whaler specific deckplates. Again, I ordered and paid over the phone just to make sure I was buying the right ones. I cannot remember who I spoke with, but its a small operation.

Beckson Marine
203-333-1412

Hope this helps.

Can you be more specific?
Any part numbers and/or prices?

The Parts Manual in our downloads section which is dated 11/1985, and on page 8, shows the Tunnel Collar (item 54) as part #12133800 and quantity is 1.
This is the one that is on top of the console shelf and is a whole collar.

On page 1, is shown a half of a Collar, Tunnel. .50 (item 36) which goes through the fuel tank cover.
Part #1213380 which is the same part number as above but is only half of that same part.
This part was cut in half lengthwise and these are what I had in my 1985 Outrage 18'.

If there are any questions, please verify what you have as compared to the Parts Manual we have in our Downloads section.
And any other part numbers you many have purchased recently along with photos which would be very helpful.

Sorry this took so long. 1988 Outrage 18 showing the two deck collars. One "up" keeping water out of rigging tunnel, one "down" keeping the deck coring dry if water does splash up and over the "up" collar.

HMMM pic didn't attach. I'm on it. Malcolm
