Hi everyone, I recently posted about putting a tail on my outboard (30hp four-stroke) and I got suggestions that I should move the gas tank and battery box up instead. Anyone have any ideas how I can extend the battery cables and where to find a extend gas tank hose. If anyone has a link it would be great!
You will need to purchase new marine grade wire for the new battery position. In addition you will most likely need to increase the guage due to the increased distance. Be sure to consult a professional or someone on this site that can advise you, Also, if your fuel line is older, it is probably a good idea to buy new line that is marine approved for the fuels available today. You will spend a few bucks but greatly improve performance. Good luck.
