There are kits for making a template of the non-skid pattern. It is a fairly detailed task. One product highly sited is Gibco's flex mold: http://gibcoflexmold.com/marine-appli...lications/ I (and some others) have used Dri-Dek tiles to cover the entire floor of both my boats. (see personal page for photos). I used the Almond color to compliment the Desert Tan gelcoat.
