I have acquired an 1972 BW Squall, very good condition. All there but tiller and rudder. I would appreciate any assistance toward finding a replacement. Received from Chuck Bennett pages of Squall info.
Also; there is no HIN stamped into the transom, yet a brass HIN plate attached to the outside upper right corner of transom.
It should be a relatively simple matter to fabricate a replacement rudder and tiller. And, based on what I've seen in photos, you should be able to improve on the original quite a bit (I would guess BW had never heard of the NACA foils.)
The brass plate reads: MDZ37596D772.

And yes JRP I have other small tiller/rudders that will work if I attached the appropriate hardware to the stern. I was hoping to find an original or might fabricate a duplicate simply in the interest of keeping it as close to original as possible.
Yup. It is what it is and in the grand scheme of things, its teeny weenie. Main thing is that its a nice little dinghy and I am looking forward to messing 'round with it. Thanks for your feedback, Joe.
