I am about ready to install my new interior. Attempted to locate the wood in the floor for the console with a stud finder per the wood locating diagram on the site, but I am finding multiple pieces.

Converting interior from sport to super sport. Console will come out to the middle. Just need to make sure I hit wood when mounting the leg.

On a related note, what is recommended for filling the holes from the original foot? Three screw holes.

Lastly, for the mounting wood for battery, from the diagrams these are not going into wood. Is that a problem? I want to mount them on the centerline.

Thanks.

The 1985 13' Wood locating diagram shows wood on the centerline for mounting a battery in the stern area.
See Wood Item G

Also look in the 9-17 Owners manual in our Downloads section.
See page 9 on how and where to install the battery.

Thanks! I got the battery mounted midline.

As for trying to locate the wood midship for the console that didn't go as well. Either I didn't mount my new interior far enough forward like original but the foot for the console only had one screw hit the wood. The other two are into the fiberglass. Shouldn't be a problem as I used 5200 in the holes and between the wood and deck.
