Newbie here. Just bought a 1975 Montauk II. BWC 820M75k. I have been looking around but am unsure where to get a new cooler and seat cushion. What size cooler was the original? What's the best replacement and where can I get one? Also looking to put a sunbrella bimini. So many companies to choose from. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Carolyn

Lots of parts info in our Reference section at the top of this page.

86qt was the original now replaced with the 94 qt mainly due to the larger domed lid.

Your HIN is missing some characters as all HIN numbers have 12 characters.
Look at the "Model Year Format" here:
http://www.whalercentral.com/articles...icle_id=61

Also see these other Montauk HIN and Stencil numbers to see where your boat fits.
http://www.whalercentral.com/articles...icle_id=17

Your HIN should be more like this:
BWCB5820M75K

and your Stencil should be in the 3B0100 range approximately.

Let us know more about what you find and Welcome Aboard WhalerCentral.

This is a personal recommendation, as I just dealt with a new cooler purchase: make sure whatever cooler you get can fit under the bow rail (assuming you have one). The Igloo 94qt I originally purchased was too tall to slide under my rail, which meant once the boat was out of the water, you had to hand it down to someone or lower it with a rope. I just got the 72qt which is significantly smaller all-around but does fit under my bow rail. Now I can slide it on and off the boat with no issue, even when full.
