Looking for some clarification here. I found this list of the 13' whaler serial numbers and corresponding years. This is different than the information found on this site under the "Deciphering your HIN Serial Numbers" article. I am trying to figure out what source is correct. Could one potentially be the model year and the other the production year?
I am trying to uncover if my 13' whaler is a 1963 or 1964 model.

Joe, my main question is what source I should trust. Just trying to figure out why there would be different stencil number ranges for each year.
I would only trust the Ghost Busters.
Bottom line, I would contact Boston Whaler and give them you stencil number.
Then can tell you when the boat was shipped.
That's about all they can tell you.
Many times the boat may sit in the yard for several months or even longer. No guarantee what year model it may or may not be.
I have, and still am doing, extensive research and gathering of info from members and Boston Whaler.
99% of all these numbers have been verified by Boston Whaler or members in one way or another. http://www.whalercentral.com/articles...cle_id=101
If you want to help further, then tell us where your Stencil number is.
Bow locker or Inside Transom?
And, do you have oar locks?
I am going to add your boat in the link above as a 1963.
If you find anything else different from Boston Whaler, please let me know.
Thanks Joe. The stencil number is located in the bow locker and it does not appear that this boat had oar locks but these could have been removed and filled in.
I'm sure that there is another thread on this but is there a specific email address or point of contact at Boston Whaler to send this information to?
