I have to replace the thwart bench which is warped and will not lay flat. My fault for not revarnishing.
Any ideas on material and availability? This Whaler is stripped for use as a halibut dive boat so I do not care what the bench looks like.
I thought about marine plywood but at 4 ft 6" I would have to get a full sheet or stumble upon a scrap piece. I visited our local hardwood supplier and the teak and mahogany planks were 12 to 16 ft long; they only sell full planks.
