This looks different from the transom view of my 1984 15 CC. Mine has no molded numbers in the spot shown. The lifting eye looks very different as well.

It seems unlikely that someone would replace a valid Boston Whaler HIN with a HIN from a defunct manufacturer -- that would be a great way to diminish the value of the boat. Unless there were some illegal doings at some point in the past, my hunch is that this boat is one of the many Whaler copy-cat models that were available in the 1960-1970 time period. The HIN does not even follow any of the usual formats, making me think it was not manufactured in North America.
Nice looking boat, but not a Boston Whaler.

My two cents, I know the 15 hull intimately. It has the forward smirk junction flaw. And only Boston Whaler would use the brass drain tubes, and they are in the correct positions. So my opinion is either one of two possible options: 1. It is a 15 sport, that was stolen and laundered or 2. Some one used a Boston Whaler mold to make a boat which is not likely. I currently own two whalers and a wahoo! It's not a wahoo! It is a Whaler, and I'll bet on it.

Thanks a lot everyone. I had a feeling it was not a wahoo also. Whatever she is its a good solid boat that rides well. I am in the process of giving it a good makeover. I only wish I could get a solid confirmation of what type of boat it is exactly. I will compare it side by side with the whaler 15s here in Bermuda. I am hoping that its a Boston whaler because they have always been my favorite boat. I grew up here in Bermuda with a 17 foot BW and now hopefully I have a 15. Thanks again

Is that a capacity plate decal on the interior, along the port aft quarter of the hull? If so, could we see a photo of that?
Also, in the "stern view" photo above, on the port side of the transom, just to the lower left of the eye, is a brownish discoloration on the hull. Are there any letters/numbers or anything else there? Or is it just a rectangular patch?
I'm still seeing enough differences between this hull and a Whaler. And the HIN is not Whaler.
Are there any stenciled numbers/letters in the forward bow locker?

There was a link to a mold for sale for 15' Whaler on this site a couple years ago. Could someone have been using that to produce their copies?

OK this is something. I checked out the plate on the inside port side. Its a little corroded but I made out the website.www.eduardono.com seems to Spanish. Has a few boats on the site but I can't see anything like mine. The plate says Colombia on it. I will take a picture of it tomorrow

I think you have your answer there. The E15BOX must be an out-of-production Eduardono model, no longer shown on their website. Maybe Whaler complained, or maybe it was an authorized reproduction and the agreement ended.
But in any case, it's not a Boston Whaler. However, it may be such a close copy that for practical purposes you won't notice a difference. Enjoy the boat -- it looks to be in nice shape and ready for some fun!

This was all very interesting. Thank you to the OP, for providing the pictures, and starting a great thread.

And, just to make clear for posterity's sake, what is now missing from this thread is a post the OP provided, showing a discussion on another website. In that discussion, an individual was recounting his trip to a boat show in the U.S. where he viewed on display the Eduardono 15 copy of the Whaler 15.
