My wife bought me a Raymarine fishfinder and I need to mount it. The problem I'm having is the transom is curved and I don't know how to make the transducer lineup parallel to the centerline of the boat. I've heard wedges but I'm not sure how that would work. If anyone has any pictures or further info I would be great
You will definitely need to use wedges. I have the same project on the horizon, and it will be my first project for this spring. I plan to cut one out of a chunk of plastic that I have..
Last year I used a pile of washers to test the placement and get the spacing correct.
Stern Saver is one way to go. Also look on "that big online auction site" for a scrap piece of Starboard and you could make your own custom wedge/mount.
