I'm working on transforming my Boston Whaler into a south Florida all around fishing rig. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

This might help. I rigged this 1982 Sport 15 for fishing the Texas coastal bays.
It fishes shallow or deep, and is a great one or two person fishing boat.
I applied a sheet of quilted insulation to the inside of the anchor locker lid, and use the anchor locker as an ice chest.

There is one for sale in the Houston/Galveston CraigsList that might give you some ideas.

My recommendation-Leave it intact, sell it to someone who appreciates a classic Whaler (assuming its still in a generally unmodified condition) and buy something more suited to what you want to do.
There aren't enough of of the classic 15's left... Its a beautiful boat, don't treat it like a Carolina Skiff.
