I just purchased an Outrage 22 and noticed that there are two teak strips inside the bow locker. They are about 10 inches long, are located in the aft portion of the locker and run bow to stern.
Does anyone know if these are original and what purpose they are for?
I also have a 1984 Outrage 22 and there are no teak strips. I use my bow locker as an anchor locker so I suspect a previous owner has used the locker for an anchor so added the strips to protect the gel-coat.
