Does anybody know what the "porthole" openings under the gunnels were trimmed with, if anything?

Walter - they were trimmed with a vinyl edging guard, a cheap detail in my opinion. If I had one of these boats, I would square them off, and edge trim with rabbited teak, like the bottom edge of the gunwales are done. I am lucky that mine has the later exposed shelving design and no "ovals".

A friend of mine just bought a beautiful fresh water speciman of one of these boats, and that is the recommendation I made to him.

Here is what the factory used - although I am not sure on color - I had a special run of tan done for my restoration.

Is there any left, if so, can you give me the contact info? Also, how fast with the 140 Suzuki? is there any more of that red insert available?

Performance with the 140 was good. I remember low 40's but its been a couple years. Yes Sue at Twin Cities for the red like Larry said. As for the trim I am not sure how much I have left - how much do you need?

Enough to do all of the openings on a 1973-19
(changed abbreviated year to full 4 digit year for clarification)

Ok - I don't own mine anymore - You will have to measure the openings and let me know the total.
