Member Posts: 2 Comments: 0 Joined: 04/28/14	I have a 1971 whaler and am ready to place the seats and console. I've read that the back seat should be 22" from the splash well. It seems a bit far back to me. Does anyone know the ideal placement for the super sport seating. Please let me know. Thanks

I bought my 13 from a guy who weighed about 250 and he had moved it forward about 8 inches for better weight distribution. I winter in Ft. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.

Member Posts: 2 Comments: 0 Joined: 04/28/14	Thanks for the quick response. What size engine do you have on your boat? With your set up being 8" forward does it seem to be well balanced or a bit bow heavy? There are no holes on my boat so I can place it forward without any problems. Thanks
