Hi, does anyone know where I can get a stability assessment for my 1995 13' dauntless cc?
My boats on the dry for winter and transport Canada wants me to do an assessment.

Launching it is a chore as winter is here and the launch is frozen.

If I may ask: Why do you need a stability letter or assessment for such a small boat? Are you bringing it into Canada therefore required since it did not originate in Canada?

Transport Canada is enhancing how it regulates boats
In our case we use this vessel as the rescue boat on our lake.
TC has demeeded it a non pleasure craft and require some documentation and in this case a stability report.
ie. will it capsize when all hands are on one side ( and other stuff).

You should be able to get the stability assessment you need by contacting Boston Whaler.

I've sent them an email.
figured I'd try here too, maybe get it quicker and get on to other things.
As it is I'll be watching the Grey Cup tomorrow, it's the closest we have to the Super Bowl.

Ah I see, ok-as SilentP mentioned contact BW in Edgewater. Their engineering dept. may be able to help with the stability letter. If not I'm sure an outfit in the Vancouver area can do it.

If you were located in the US, the form you want completed is cited here: https://www.uscg.mil/forms/cg/CG_4006...G_4006.pdf If the boat is now located in British Columbia, I suggest you contact the Canadian Coast Guard and ask them if they can complete a Simplified Stability Test Report on the boat. For reference purposes, here are the specifications for Boston Whaler 13 Dauntless.

The Boston Whaler Dauntless 13 was the second Dauntless model made by Boston Whaler (The Dauntless 15 was introduced in 1994) and was made from model year 1995 through 1998. It was always rated for 50 HP with minimum recommended power of 25 HP. Other basic info: LOA: 13'-9" Beam: 6' Hull Weight: 650 pounds Swamped Capacity: 1700 pounds Persons Capacity: 5.
