I'm in the process of re-doing my 1970 13' whaler. After repairing the interior my plans are to paint it but cannot find a suitable blue to match. Does anyone know of a product or formula to make a paint product to match, or come close to the original blue?
Thanx in advance.

Chum, I just did my 1970 Katama w JD Total Boat 1 part epoxy in Whaler Blue. The paint preformed flawlessly, I can say enough about it. Color was different than the greenish blue original but covered in well in 2 coats. There should be some pics on my member page.

(fixed abbreviated year to the full 4 digit year per the guidelines on our front page)

if you prefer gelcoat, look at Spectrum and Minicraft.

Gelcoat would be a last resort. Paint is easier to apply and easier to repair. I'm going to check some auto body supply shop to see if they can input also. In the mean time, I'm still here and open to your suggestions while continuing my remodel. Thanx
