If you are looking for a Banana Hull you might want to check oodle on the internet for a 1976 Outrage 21 listing. I know nothing about this listing but it appears to be a clean, very restorable boat. I would love to hear back if you secure this boat.

The internet search is a very wide search. What site did you see it on?

I can't believe there is no interest in this Outrage 21 Banana. The guy is asking $2,000 for what seems to be a solid classic Outrage with a 200 Johnson, trailer, etal. Unless this is a scam and I am the idiot, I would think this is a great deal assuming the boat is solid.

Sounds to good to be true. Probably a catch somewhere.

Don't waste your time on this.
I have been trying to get in touch with this guy for three days and all I get is an email that you can't reply too.
He won't call back or leave a number that you can call him. He does say it is available but I think it is some kind of scam.

Either the seller is a bumbling idiot with no clue, or it's a scam.
1. He can't be an idiot because he knows to much about Whalers, and describes very well all of the work he has put into it. A new Morse control alone is a $550 expenditure, which makes the $2K price seem ridiculous. He knows too much to sell the boat for 2K.
2. It sounds like a "lifted" ad to me. From the photos, etc, the boat appears to be worth around 10K, as good versions of this boat are getting increasingly hard to find, while overall demand is increasing.

Finnegan: I totally agree except that he sent me a lengthly email talking about where the boat was and how he would deliver to my address. Also talked about payment to be done after delivery and approval of the boat and to be done only through the eBay payment system. Certainly sounded legit but I have not corresponded with him of late. Very strange.

I would stay away from this, earlier this year there was a bayliner trophy up for sale at a stupid low price, with the same type of payment option.
After research I found the same boat for sale in Montreal, U.S. east coast and west coast.
After asking a lot of direct questions such as where the boat was physically so I could arange a visit the emails stopped.
If I recall in both cases you can not see a boat registration number on the hull, I would ask for it.
Just my five cents worth.
There is outrage 21 for sale in Montreal for under $7k with twin 90s

Why folks (jerks) post these unbelievable great deals, angers me to no end. I picked up a virus response to an email with a Craigslist listing several years ago. Also wasted a lot of time and aggravation with other "email" negotiations. Stay away from this stuff or they may get a link to your computer.

Gents,
Is there such thing as a 1998 Outrage 21?
I can't find any info on it in the Whaler Model and Specs section. I see info on Outrage 22s that look similar to the boat being advertised. If there is a dedicated Outrage 21 page that includes the 1998 model year, I'd appreciate being directed to it. Thought I'd ask here since this thread concerns an ad for an earlier Outrage 21. Thanks.

This is a post-classic design that came around the time when Whaler was owned by Reebok (1989-1993) Yes, it is the same Reebok that makes shoes.
