Not sure but Johnson Custom Boats in Wilmington is doing some really nice work on Whalers and other boats. http://www.johnsoncustomboats.com/ The 15 is a great boat! Does all kinds of boats from small to large, but I've seen some very nice Whaler restorations he's done. He did some minor work for me when I bought my Whaler this spring. He was highly recommended to me by a friend who owns/runs a boat storage facility that has been in boating for 30+ years. Reasonable pricing and very easy to work with. It has the two wooden bench seats and side console, which all need replacing (along with the bow anchor locker). I'm going to keep the boat pretty stock, replacing the interior with Specialty Marine's mahogany kit or going with the starboard material. I'm sure there are some dings, dents and gouges that need repairing -- and the bottom needs painting -- but I'm still trying to decide whether to trailer the boat back to Winston-Salem this winter, do some/most of the work myself or just get somebody in Wilmington to work on the boat there. Finally, the boat needs a new/used outboard, but I'll deal with that last. The goal is to have the boat ready to use by next Spring.
