I just bought a 1965 13 foot sport with no ignition keys. I tried going to autozone and buying a new ignition key but it only has four lugs on it and I am stumped on how to hook up wires. Any suggestions ?
The ignition switch, motor wiring harness, and motor are not really part of the Boston Whaler in those days.
You will need to go to your local engine dealer and purchase a key.
The number of the ignition switch and key should be on the switch.
What brand of motor do you have?
Johnson, Mercury, etc. then call your local dealer to see if they have a key in stock with the correct number.
