This is probably rehash but seems to me there are two configurations of the port side Boston Whaler decal. "Boston" forward of the harpoon and "Boston" aft of the harpoon. Which is correct? Only see one starboard side configuration. I'm confused.

I just ordred some and different years/boats have them different ways. There is a place called magic brush that is approved to make the decals. You give them the year, model and they will tell you every sticker that should be on it. I was impressed. Little more than ebay but you know its exactly what it should be.

Thanks Brian and Joe. I had read the post from 2005 but did not quite understand. I wanted to know which way was correct but it seems both are correct depending on the age of ones boat. I did purchase from Magic Brush and they were great to deal with. Highly recommend. Any speculation why they changed the decal and when?

I did some checking of pictures on this site and there seems to be no pattern. I checked boats from 1963 to 2013. Of the ten different years and 7 models , three had Boston in the rear and the rest had Boston forward. (1980 Outrage, 2008 Montauk, 2013 Conquest) Quite strange.

Regardless of which decals you purchase, the bow shape on the decal always faces forward......pointed in the same direction as the bow of your boat.

For sure the bow faces forward. The question pertains to the location of the word "Boston".

My statement wasn't enough?

Then here is another hint.
You have to look at boats you know are original. Otherwise you are wasting your time as some of the decals you look at could be wrong and not original.

three had Boston in the rear and the rest had Boston forward

Which 3 had Boston in the rear?
Please post the links here so we all can see those.
