All I did was fill the holes in the deck and sand them flush, and remove all of the drain tubes. Line-X did the rest. They charged me $1400 for everything, which was the entire deck and gunwales, slick coating the motor well, and they sprayed the top of the console and the bottom 4" of the console. The hull gained about 80#.

Just got my 15 back from Line-X. Check it out, its at the bottom when you scroll down. All I can say is that i am very pleased by the way it turned out. Can't wait to get the hull painted, motor hung and back on the water. My Daughter is excited to say the least.

Looks good.

I turned off the last 2 photos in your personal page as they exceeded the 640x480 size limit.

I have finally finished the sport last week. Ran it for about 2 hours when the weather was still good. Boat ran great with the Yamaha 50! Let me know what you guys think about it.

Very sharp, and the Line-X looks good!

With regards to the re-chroming, what led you to use the shop in PA versus a more local (NC) shop?

I found Paul's online, whereas I could not find anyone really regarded in NC. I spoke with Dawn on the phone. You can send your parts to them. They will give you a quote. If you don't like the quote they will ship your parts back. It was about a 6 week turnaround. I would certainly use them again.

How much did it cost to rechrome your parts?

Certainly cheaper to buy the SS parts thru Specialty Marine. To chrome all the pieces in the pic was around $550. They charge for each piece. For example the stern light holder is three pieces. So it added up quick, but I don't think there is any comparison between the chrome over bronze and the SS pieces that all boat builders are using now. Certainly glad I kept the original hardware, although I did buy the bow light and the Norman pin thru Specialty.

I agree on keeping the originals. I'll eventually have mine re-chromed as well.

So, it will cost about $1400 to have a 13 foot hull interior done in Line-X. Anyone know how much it would cost to take a 13 foot boat somewhere, stripped of hardware but not old gel coat, and have new gel oat applied?

I winter in Ft. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.
