The factory bracket was called Whaler Drive and it is quite cool. Adds about 2 feet to the length of the boat and also adds a full height transom with live well(s) built in.
Do a search for "whaler drive" and you'll find a lot of info.
Truly consider what you are doing or looking at by adding length off the transom. My 1979 22' Revenge is the same hull as the Outrage. I went with a 12" jack plate and the cantilever with motor weight has me reinforcing the transom. I had a 6" jack plate the boat held ok. For a "motor" completely out of boat look Whalerdrive or possibly Armstrong for full width of transom attachment. Whalerdrive the factory option. All others aftermarket. Whalerdrive had additional flotation.

Whaler did have one other bracket, I do not recall the name, but Whalerdrive is the correct way to go.
