I realized that my vehicle can only tow 4500# so that will be limiting me in choices that I can look at. Although I don't tow very far, a few miles per year to and from my slip, I feel that a Revenge 22 W/T with WD is just too heavy of a boat!
If I were looking at a Revenge 20 W/T, with a weight of 2150# and then add the weight of the Johnson 200 (+/- 450#) and some fuel...I really don't think I'll be close to 4500#.
Jay, what is the comparative weight of the 22' Whaler Drive? What vehicle are you towing with? The Whaler Drive is a lot more boat. My under standing of the weight rating by Whaler is bare hull. Rigging, trailer, wires, gear, fuel, etc... all adds up.
I have the motor off my 1979 22' Revenge right now, as well as most of the rigging. I am bringing the boat to a fabricator for custom welding for some removable brackets. I am looking forward to launching it empty and then weighing the truck/trailer and do a proper boat weight. I will reweigh it fully rigged/powered later just to know what all that stuff adds up to.
You are missing the weight of the trailer. I'm guessing galvanized will be around 750 pound or so for a 20 footer. 22' would be a bit more (I estimated around 1,000 for mine). Aluminum obviously would be lighter.
For a reference point, I weighed my 1984 Outrage 22 on its galvanized trailer. Full of fuel (129 gallons), 1987 Evinrude 225, 2 main batteries in console, and 3 trolling motor batteries in cooler in front of console, it weighed in at 5,400 lbs.
I know it's not a Revenge, but the additional fuel in my larger tank and extra battery weight would probably make it comparable to a 22 Revenge.

Patxbill reminded me of something. I threaded earlier "Water in hull" and have "weigh-in" for my 1979 22' Revenge fully rigged with my old motor (1981 235hp. Johnson). My towable weight for the trailer and boat combined was 4,580lbs. Thanks patxbill for kick starting my minds archives. Empty fuel tank.
Multiply 6.4 lbs/gal (avg weight of gasoline/ethanol mix at 75deg F) times the number of gallons capacity you have in your boat. Add this too your actual boat/trailer weight. You should be within +/- 10 lbs.
