Hi!

I recently purchased a 1968 Menemsha and I am looking for a little advice for hooking up the steering cables. The boat came with a 1959 Evinrude Lark that runs well. I keep hearing I need a "conversion kit" to connect the motor to the Teleflex NFB Safe-T II Rotary Steering Kit I ordered. Can anyone point me in the right direction of the kit? I can't find it anywhere.

Also, the Evinrude is a short shaft. I saw somewhere in the Menemsha specs that the boat called for a long shaft. Is this a bad move? Should I just dump this outboard?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Happy 4th of July!
