Maybe a stupid question, but just getting to know the boat.

In the anchor locker there is a large opening that has a cover on it and is sealed?

Is this to access wiring and keel bolts?

Thanks,
Doug

No, that is the sprue hole where they injected the foam.
Don't break the seal.

Thanks Joe,
Looks like someone added silicone around the edges.
I cleaned off silicone best I could without breaking the seal and will re-seal with marine sealant.

Thanks,
Doug

Hello again,
I was thinking ahead about a mooring cover when my boat is docked at a slip in Florida.
I was doing some searches and seen the Mills Canvas cover.
For a 1996 model, the clip attachment doesn't work and they show bungie type cord pulled around hooks attached to the underside of the gunwhale.

I was wondering where I could get these hooks?
I have a heavy canvas cover, but need to modify it so I can attach it to the gunwhale in a boat slit.

Currently it had eyelets around the perimeter. That works with straps to trailer when towing or storing.

I think I could modify it to attach to gunwhale hooks or do I just but the little straps brackets like used for securing battery box and gas tanks?

Thanks much,
Doug

Doug Mills Canvas is great but I just bought a cover from ENDURAcover custom made Supreme Aqua Shield for my 150 Montauk through iBoats.com you pic model and year and within a week you have a cover.and I'm very satisfied with quality and fit and as the cover has a draw string embedded all the way around the topsides that can be tied off at (under motor) the transom it is a great mooring cover and includes (one part) a cover for the OB.
No need for hooks your rub rail keeps cover from sliding up.

Thanks Skip,
Yes, I was concerned about putting screws into my boat to attach hooks.
I did call Mills and they said they were called fender hooks.
They could supply them or West Marine. $12 / pair.

I will look into your vendor. I do like the idea of a pull string to the stern.
I guess it may be a little difficult to get that final tie while the boat is in the water?

Thanks Much,
Doug

The weather was a little cooler today so I got some detailing done today.
Pulled every screw, cleaned surface and re-bedded in Butyl Rubber caulk.
Pulled battery box, cleaned and painted.
Cleaned the entire inside inch by inch, under console, behind console and every cavity. A little barkeepers friend and everything came out white.
Metal parts polished up good.
All black plastic parts look like new now.

I'll post a pic once I read how to.
