I have a SS limited 1987 13ft. There is a slight crack going down the edge of the norman pin area where it is curved. At the moment it is somewhat small but I am sure it will get bigger with time. What is the best way to repair this? My interior is sandy tan color. Is there a thread on fixing inside of whaler instructions and materials. Also my rails are a bit shakey, slightly loose. Do I just remove screw and add silicone and screw back in?
(please follow guideline #1 on the front page and use the full 4 digit year)
Take a photo of the Norman pin area, open a photobucket account and post the picture there and post a link to it here so we can see what you're talking about.
As far as the rails go, some people use rivets to successfully tighten up their railings. Hopefully some will chime in here with details.
I winter in Ft. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.
