I'm restoring a 1970 Standard 13 ft Whaler. The wood interior is shot. I'd love to drop in a new one from Specialty like I've done for other 13 and 15 ft Whalers I've restored but this boat is used as a rescue boat for a sailing club and sits uncovered in the water all season and I'm concerned about maintenance.
Does anyone make a fiberglass version of the stock mahogany interior or even a low center console that could work?
I ended up buying an interior from Boston Whaler from a more recent 13 ft model. All fiberglas, two benches, the aft one has backrests. The front one also serves as the stand for the steering console. Will need some slight modification since the newer boat is wider. I'll post pics as the work continues.
