To win The Greater Jacksonville Fl. King Fish Tournament you do not need a 32' triple engine boat with enough horsepower to win a tractor pull. A 17' Boston Whaler Montauk owner scored the biggest fish the first day with a 43.25 pounder. The second day, he caught a 34.4 pounder to win the aggregate part of the tournament.

New Project Album section

We have created a new Project Album section for all the members that want to create their own project album.
To create a project album, use the Submit Project Album link on the left sidebar.
Include the beginning photo of your project along with a short title and a description of you project.
Once an administrator has approved the project album, they will create it for you.
After that, you will have complete control of your own project album.
A link will automatically be available under your name in the right sidebar titled "My Project Albums".
You will be able to upload your photos directly to your project album along with a short title and description of each photo. You can rearrange the photos in any order you wish. You will be in complete control.

Members can create as many different project albums as they need and that the administrators approve.
The only requirement is that you have had a managed and maintained a personal page for awhile and have reached the 20 photo quota.

Check out the new Project Album section today. We have 2 members that have just started their new projects.

W3C Validation for WhalerCentral

I spent the most part of January and the first part of February 2009 going through all of our pages on WhalerCentral and fixing minor errors so our pages would validate using the W3C validator.

As it stands now, 99% of our pages validate. To verify this if you are interested, click on the W3C validate button on the bottom left sidebar on any page you are viewing. You will note that most pages will show 11 errors. This is due to one of our panels that is using the "marquee" script. So, you will see 11 errors showing on all or our pages. This is again due to that one panel. At this time we are looking for a replacement for the "marquee" script so those errors will be eliminated.
So, the page itself validates without any errors so to speak, it's just the same panel throwing those same 11 errors.

Most of our pages here on WhalerCentral use .xhtml while some pages however still use the standard .html
Some of the pages will never validate due to various reasons. The forum section where members can put in outside links with strange characters etc., may not validate. Also the members personal pages where members can put in some types of text and links may not validate. This is just the way it is for those pages.

What does this do for you?
The bottom line is, the less errors a page has the faster that page will load for you.

Here are 2 examples or our pages.

Here is a page that will validate as the "marquee" panel is turned off for this page.

So our pages do validate with the exception of the one panel that uses the "marquee" script.

If anyone has any questions about validation and/or finds any errors they wish to report, please let us know.
Reminder, Forum pages and Personal pages may not validate due to the reasons mentioned above.
